Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of relioengine.com and services provided by Relio LLC ("Relio," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply to the website, the Free Scan, Continuous Monitoring, Portfolio Monitoring (the multi-company organization tier), and professional advisory services (collectively, the "Services"). By using a Service, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or engaging Relio, you agree to these Terms. A signed engagement agreement or statement of work controls if it conflicts with these Terms.
1. Services
Job-posting compliance tools. Relio reviews publicly available job postings against the currently enabled requirements in its maintained ruleset. The Free Scan provides a limited result for one careers source. Continuous Monitoring provides recurring review for one employer scope. Portfolio Monitoring provides full scans and separately monitored scopes for multiple approved companies within an organization account.
Professional services. Relio provides talent acquisition, recruiting operations, hiring strategy, career coaching, Fractional Head of Talent, Executive & Specialized Search, Talent Systems Architecture & Advisory, and AI Talent Engineer services. The scope, timing, fees, and deliverables for an engagement may be further defined in a proposal, statement of work, or other written agreement.
2. Advisory nature; no legal determination
Relio provides operational information and professional advisory services. Relio is not a law firm, accounting firm, financial adviser, or tax adviser. A scan finding is not a legal determination, and the absence of a finding does not establish compliance. Laws change, facts affect which requirements apply, and some job sites limit automated access. You should have qualified counsel evaluate your organization's obligations and any high-consequence decision.
3. No outcome guarantees
Relio does not guarantee specific outcomes. In particular:
- Compliance tools: Relio does not guarantee that every posting, distribution surface, jurisdiction, requirement, or issue will be identified. A result may be incomplete because of source availability, posting content, location ambiguity, changes in law, or technical limitations.
- Career coaching: Relio does not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, compensation changes, or any specific career outcome. Coaching is not a placement service and does not include financial planning.
- Consulting and search: Relio does not guarantee a specific hire, time to fill, retention, performance, or quantitative result. Outcomes depend on market conditions, candidate availability, client decisions, and execution by the client team.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your hiring, employment, career, legal, financial, and business decisions. You agree to provide accurate information, review results before acting on them, and use the Services only for lawful purposes. You may submit or monitor a company scope only when you are authorized to do so. Do not use the Services to collect competitive intelligence in bulk, probe unrelated employers, process unlawfully obtained information, interfere with a source site, evade access controls, or attempt to reverse-engineer Relio's rules, software, or methodology.
5. Public sources and approved company scopes
Job-posting tools process information that careers sites and job boards make publicly available. A successful source check does not mean Relio controls, endorses, or has a relationship with that source. Relio may reject, pause, or remove a source that cannot be verified, is not associated with the approved employer, blocks access, or presents a security or legal concern. Portfolio company limits and permitted scopes may depend on the subscribed plan.
6. Accounts and access links
You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and monitor access links. A monitor link grants access to its reports and settings; share it only with authorized recipients. Notify Relio promptly if you believe an account or link has been compromised. Relio may rotate a link, suspend access, or require verification to protect a customer or the Services.
7. Payments and cancellation
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscription pricing, billing interval, and included limits are shown at checkout or in an applicable order. You may cancel a subscription effective at the end of the current billing period; partial billing-period refunds are not provided except where required by law. Single-session services are paid at booking and are non-refundable after delivery. Retainer, search, and other consulting engagements are governed by the payment and cancellation terms in their engagement agreement.
8. Calls and transcription
Calls and video meetings may be transcribed using meeting or note-taking tools. When transcription is used, Relio may retain the resulting text for notes and follow-up. Relio does not retain an audio or video recording after the meeting unless the participants are told otherwise. You may ask before a call not to use transcription.
9. Intellectual property
Relio retains all rights in its software, ruleset structure, detection logic, methods, frameworks, processes, and materials. You may use reports, briefs, and engagement deliverables created for you for your own internal purposes and may share them with your professional advisers. You may not resell, republish, reverse-engineer, or use them as the basis for a competing product or service without written permission. You retain ownership of materials you provide to Relio.
10. Availability and changes
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Relio may modify features, coverage, supported sources, usage limits, and pricing. When practical, material changes affecting a paid subscription will be communicated through the Service or by email. Relio may suspend access needed to address security, misuse, legal risk, nonpayment, or source restrictions.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relio's total liability for claims arising from or related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid Relio for the affected Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Relio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost business, opportunities, wages, employment, data, or reputation.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory laws that apply to you are not displaced by this section.
13. Changes to these Terms
Relio may update these Terms as the Services evolve. The date above identifies the latest revision. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
